IMPORTANT FCC UPDATES

Construction/Coverage Filings: Beginning January 1, 2006, the FCC began the "Automatic Termination"

process of terminating any unconstructed frequency issued to an FCC license. The FCC began the construction/coverage filing requirement in 2001 for all radio services. Many frequencies issued in 2002 and prior to February 1, 2006 may not be in compliance because of failure to construct, but the license has not been placed in "Auto Term" status. If you did not file the construction/coverage filing during this period, a late construction filing is required before any changes including renewal can be done to your license.Request Application

Narrowband Required: As of January 1, 2013, frequencies 150-174 MHz and 421-469.9875 MHz licenses must operate on channels not exceeding 12.5 kHz, unless efficiency standards are satisfied. The FCC currently continues to accept narrowband modificiation applications without penalty.Request Worksheet
